Hey everyone. In business for just a few months, and already the victim of identity theft. Someone was trying to use my business debit card to buy thousands of dollars of supplies in Houston, and a hotel in New Jersey, on the same day. Bank of America took care of me, alerting me to the fraud, and calling me to review the charges they had refused. In a few minutes, they had the existing card cancelled, and a new one on the way by UPS.
Pay attention to your credit and debit card charges, and set up automatic alerts if you can. With all the massive data breaches in the last few years, it's a near certainty that your information has been compromised. It's just a matter of if and when it will be sold and used.
