We are pleased to announce that we are adding
advanced radiometric thermal imaging to our repertoire of
aerial imaging services.
Thermal imaging is the science of recording the infrared radiation emissions from objects in order to estimate surface temperatures. From this relatively simple concept comes a whole host of possibilities for non-contact diagnoses of the health of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as building insulation efficiency and many other unique perspectives.
Coupling thermal imaging with an unmanned aerial platform allows us to take this capability to places not easily reached before. From close-up imaging on the tops of towers and overviews of roof mounted systems (and the roofs themselves), to the underside of bridges and other structures, we can rapidly put the camera where it will do the most good, without endangering a human photographer.
We don't stop with just a thermal camera, either. We simultaneously mount a high power visual camera alongside it to give close-up visual inspections that complement what the thermal camera sees. The combination of the two is a powerful tool for finding small problems before they turn into catastrophic failures.
Contact us today to see how this exciting set of technologies can help you with your predictive maintenance or other inspection requirements. One study for the electric power industry concluded that there is a four dollar return on investment for every dollar spent with thermal imagery.
